Framed Gallery Darwin commissioned these works to lease to the Northern Territory Government for Development House. At the termination of the lease the artist’s husband bought them back from the gallery.
With preparatory sketches which have remained in the artist’s collection, plus the ten paintings, they form a complete suite of work from her early abstract period.
This suite also relates to a large abstract oil on canvas in the permanent collection of MAGNT (Museums & Art Gallery of the Northern Territory), exhibited in CONTEMPORARY TERRITORY, a group exhibition curated by Daena Murray in 1996.
